I was thinking about what a ‘quality win/loss’ means, so… this is just a surface level analysis of Nebraska’s Football Opponents and their records dating all the way back to 1940. Green is a win. Red is a loss. Blue is a tie.

Bad recent losses: Northwestern 2022 (1-11) Purdue 2015 (2-10)

Last time Nebraska lost to a 1 win team was Iowa 1944 (1-7)

Good recent wins: Michigan St 2011 (11-3) Northwestern 2012 (10-3) Michigan St 2015 (12-2)

Last time Nebraska beat a 1 loss team was Kansas St 1999 (11-1)

This is based on W/L and the opponents records of course there were other factors in these games. Other losses were bad, other wins were good. I’d love to hear your thoughts, your opinions. Any games you think were really bad/good? Did I make a mistake with the data?
