LINCOLN SOUTHEAST’S JAKE APPLEGET COMMITS TO NEBRASKA FOOTBALL

A little late, but yesterday Nebraska picked up a commitment from a native son as Lincoln Southeast’s Jake Appleget committed. Appleget is projected as an outside linebacker in the 2022 class.

He is 6’4”, 210 pounds, so a sizable dude as a linebacker. 247 has him listed as a three-star, the sixth-best player in Nebraska and 963rd best player in the nation (whatever that means).

Appleget is the seventh player so far in the 2022 class after Colorado receiver Grant Page also committed yesterday.

Appleget plays tight end, with almost 300 receiving yards so far to with with five touchdowns. He’ll project to the defensive side of the ball where our beloved Huskers need help at linebacker.

Nebraska beat out Minnesota, amongst some other lesser schools, but let’s be honest, who other than Minnesota or South Dakota are going to come into Lincoln, Nebraska and spend time trying to recruit a guy unless he’s the second coming of [insert incredible player you’re thinking of right now].

Here’s a Husker Online video:

Welcome to our beloved Husker football team, Jake Appleget!
