Lincoln North Star guard and Nebraska commit Donovan Williams has been named to ESPN’s list of the top 100 2020 basketball recruits. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is ranked 95th overall and 27th at his position.
This past season, Williams led Lincoln North Star to a Class A semifinal appearance in the NSAA State Tournament. He averaged 21 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, according to MaxPreps.
Williams confirmed on his Twitter account Tuesday night that he will undergo surgery on April 30th. He suffered an ACL tear to his left knee during an AAU game last week.
Recently, Williams reaffirmed his commitment to NU and current Husker head coach Fred Hoiberg after Tim Miles was relieved of head coaching duties.
