Lincoln East baseball standout Jeter Worthley announces flip from Michigan to Nebraska

Jeter Worthley spent the last two years committed to playing college baseball at Michigan. But on Saturday, he announced a change of plans.

The Lincoln East utility player took to social media to announce that he was committed to Nebraska.

He becomes the 16th known member of the Huskers’ 2025 recruiting class.

Worthley’s older brother, Jalen, is a left-handed pitcher for Nebraska. The two played together at Lincoln East in 2022.

Jeter is a two-time Super-State selection. As a junior last season, he hit .426 with eight extra-base hits. He also posted a .504 on-base percentage, primarily serving as the Spartans’ leadoff hitter. Worthley is a solid defender and base runner.
