Karrington Davis and Amir Harris have Reportedly Entered the NCAA’s Transfer Portal

The attrition continues for the Nebraska basketball program. Both Karrington Davis and Amir Harris have reportedly entered the NCAA’s transfer portal, according to multiple media outlets.

Chris Heady of the Omaha World-Herald reports that Harris was told by the coaching staff that he no longer “had a spot on the team.” This past season, Harris averaged 2.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. Harris was sidelined for about a month in the middle of the season with mono. He also injured his knee during Nebraska’s overtime win against Iowa in the final regular season game of the year. Harris scored the winning layup in that game.

Davis is a 6-foot-6 guard who missed all of last season due to an injury to his Achilles he suffered in October. The freshman from St. Louis, Missouri joined NU from Montverde Academy in Florida last year. Davis and Harris along with Brady Heiman have all left the team since last week.

The Huskers now have four open scholarship spots. Nebraska could lose another spot if Isaiah Roby decides to leave for the NBA. The senior forward was one of 66 players invited to the NBA Combine in the official list that was released Wednesday afternoon.
