It’s Over – Recruiting & Transfers

My opinion, but I think Frost’s chance at Nebraska is over. Do I think he’ll be fired at the end of the year? No. But with a losing season in year 3, Frost doesn’t have the swagger & shine with recruits like he did in 2018, which is now a big problem if he ever wants to get out of this hole.

Who will come here now? We’re going to get kids that were either lifelong Husker fans (limits the size of the talent pool) or kids that other schools didn’t want. Frost in the winter of 2021 is not walking into a 3 to 5 star kids living room and talking about how great it would be to play for him at Nebraska without the kid side-eyeing him, or never letting him in the door to begin with. That door is shut now when it would have been open in 2018.

Any HS players we have commits from are at risk, and players already on the roster are at risk of transfering. It would be one thing if we finished 4-4 or 3-5 but had close losses with an identity of toughness and a system kids would want to play for. We don’t have that.
