It’s been a long road, but I’m not done supporting NU football.

This is not a post about Kool-Aid.   

I was riding back from Lincoln to Omaha today and I followed a vehicle with a Nebraska vanity plate.  NTLCHMP.  “Damn, that was a long time ago”, I thought.  Then I thought about watching on TV as Tagge jumped over the LSU line at the Orange Bowl. I thought about Johnny the Jet blowing past that the Sooners in the Game of the Century.  I  thought about the day I was in the stadium when our boys outran Oklahoma State and Barry Sanders.   I thought about Tom going for two, how gutted I was, and the sweet redemption of the ’90s.  

I realized that I am not done being a Husker fan.  I’m past bad AD’s, bad coaches, bad decisions, and the effing transfer portal.   I am not done.   Cue up Hail Varsity.  Give me my damn Runza and let’s play ball.  I have no illusions about B1G 10 championship game, playoff, and beating effing  
Alabama.  Kool-Aid glass is empty. But I’m not done, I don’t think this team is done.  I’ve seen the worst and seen best of Nebraska Football in my lifetime and I refuse to walk away. Better days are coming.  I am not done.
