In-state linebacker recaps latest Nebraska visit, relationship with Rob Dvoracek

After landing his first Power Four offer from Nebraska last month, 2026 Elkhorn (Neb.) North linebacker Jase Reynolds made the short trip back down to Lincoln the first opportunity he could: Nebraska’s Elite Day on Saturday.

“This was a great visit,” he said. “I was able to talk to the coaches more and get to know them more on a personal level, which I thought was great, talking to Rob [Dvoracek] a lot. I was also able to talk to the other recruits, because I haven’t been around them much. I was able to learn who they are and where they come from, they were all good kids.”

This return visit gave Reynolds an opportunity to further explore Nebraska’s campus. He has two older brothers that are currently students at UNL and seeing what their life on campus looks life provided the rising junior good insight on what his own life on campus could look like.

““Seeing all the facilities for a second time, it all just blows your mind how much stuff they have and how nice everything is,” he said. “I actually have two older brothers that go to the school just as students, so it was good for me to see what they’re living like and all the classes they’ve got. Everything’s just very nice on the campus.”

Reynolds had two commits in Caden VerMaas and Pierce Mooberry peer recruiting him while he was in town and left campus with a stronger relationship with the two 2025 Nebraska pledges.

““Caden VerMaaas, we were in the same group. Our schools are a couple miles apart so it was cool to be able to meet him finally and talk to him,” he said. “Pierce Mooberry was the same way…I was talking to them about what their roles are and how they like the coaches and stuff, they had nothing but great things to say.”

Reynolds was offered after a standout performance in camp, but had been in contact with Dvoracek leading up to the offer. Since landing the offer, the two have stayed in steady communication but Saturday was the first time the two were able to sit down and talk in person with limited distractions.

The focus of the conversation was catching up on their respective summers, family and football. Reynolds is planning to be in attendance for multiple Nebraska games in the fall, namely the Colorado game Sept. 7, and set those plans with the Huskers’ linebackers coach.

Reynolds now turns his attention to his junior season, with fall camp starting for him and his Elkhorn North teammates later this month. He’s kept busy with 7-on-7 this offseason, noting that it’s improved his coverage ability significantly in both man and zone.
