I feel strangely good about this year

Don't be mistaken, I, like many of you, am hesitant to feel such a way. However, there's a noticeable change in our program's composite image in less than two years into the Rhule era. Accountability and competition are immediate things that come to mind; players are not being treated with the "Well, since you're the best we've got, the rules don't apply to you" mentality. Arik Gilbert found out the hard way last summer unfortunately. Jeff Sims saw his fate unravel before him (and behind him, through his hands, etc) after just two games. It's like that old Coastal Carolina coach said years ago, "We got enough cats, we need more DOGS!"

While that might be an annoying rant to read, it's also pertinent to point out the caliber of recruits we've picked up with tremendous upside: Raiola, Brix, Nelson, Barney, and so on. It feels like we're on the brink of having a squad that is both TOUGH and TALENTED again.

It's been a lot of fun seeing you guys post your screenshots and vids of Nebraska in CFB25 over the past day. I guess what saying is that I'm just so fucking ready to be hurt again bros.
