Hype surrounding next year

I am beyond excited to finally have a decent looking basketball team! We may not actually be as good as we think this year because we haven’t played great competition, but we are certainly an entertaining team to watch! Baton, Allen, and McGowens are electric on the court. I mean we have a damn 6’9 point guard who can make some crazy plays! One thing that I hope we can improve on is having a consistent three point shooter that we can count on other than Mayen.

Regarding our loss to Nevada; it was honestly a great shot from the Nevada player. Yes, we did choke big time and didn’t close out the game when we should have, but this is a completely new team that just came together this season. With us having that poor shooting game, and playing nowhere near our potential, we still were close with a solid Nevada team that has a great basketball program.

With COVID-19 allowing all our players to have an extra year of eligibility, our team should only get much better next year with the same roster plus a great recruiting class that includes the first five star recruit in Nebraska basketball history… It makes me excited for the rest of this season and the future of this program! I hope that the rest of the husker fan base can get behind our team and keep the hype going
