Las Vegas – The Nebraska wrestling team heads to Las Vegas this weekend to partake in one of the premier wrestling tournaments of the year at the Cliff Keen Invitational.
The Las Vegas Convention Center will host the event, with action beginning on Friday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. (CT). Each weight class is set up in bracket format, with both the championship and consolation rounds of 64, 32 and 16 being contested until 6 p.m. Starting at 8 p.m., the championship quarterfinals and consolation first and second rounds of eight will take place.
Action resumes Saturday morning at 12 p.m. (CT) with the championship and consolation semifinals and consolation fifth- and seventh-place matches. The championship and third-place matches are set for 5 p.m.
The tournament field features the defending champions along with 31 other Division 1 teams. 11 of the nation’s Top 25 teams in the latest NWCA poll with take the mat in Las Vegas.

• Last Time Out: Five wrestlers claimed individual titles to help the Nebraska wrestling team grab the team title at the Navy Classic in Maryland on Saturday. Additionally, eight Husker wrestlers made the trip to the UNK Younes Open with Nate Wemstrom and Kyle Burwick finishing on top of their weight classes.
• Up Next: NU will travel to Brookings, S.D. on Sunday, Dec. 18 to take on the SDSU Jackrabbits. The action is set to begin at 2 p.m. (CT).

• Three starters have undefeated dual records to start the season. Returning All-Americans Peyton Robb (157) and Mikey Labriola (174) have combined to start the season 6-0 with 21 dual points.
• Labriola has amassed a team-leading 11 takedowns against dual competition and also has two major decision victories.
Nebraska’s History at the Cliff Keen Invitational
• Nebraska has competed at the Las Vegas Invitational a total of 26 times, finishing first in 2003, 2008, 2019 and 2021. NU has also finished in second place five times: 1992, 1995, 2000, 2004 and 2013.

• As a team, Nebraska finished in first place with 125 points to claim it second-straight team title.

Huskers Head to Doane Open
• The Huskers will send 18 wrestlers to the Doane Open on Saturday. Harley Andrews (285), Ismael Ayoub (141), Elise Brown Ton (174), Quinton Chavez (125), Blake Cushing (141), Reese Davis (149), Austin Emerson (285), Cameron Graham (157), Nathan Haas (184), Joshua Licking (157), Hayden Mills (133), Daniel Monahan (141), Nic Stoltenberg (157), Antrell Taylor (157), Adam Thebeau (165), Alex Thomsen (133), Logan Valledor (125) and Nate Wemstrom (197) will make the trip.
