Huskers Swept by Badgers for Second Time this Season

Nebraska hadn’t lost a match in the month of November since 2016. That would need to continue for the Huskers to chase a Big Ten Conference Championship.

But that streak fell short Sunday.

#5 Wisconsin(21-5, 17-1 Big Ten) swept #6 Nebraska(23-4,15-3 Big Ten) for the second time this season, this time 25-19, 22, 21.

Junior Lexi Sun led the Huskers with 16 kills on .316 hitting. Sophomroe Nicklin Hames had 32 assists while freshman Madi Kubik added five kills and a team-high 15 digs.

The Badgers out hit the Huskers .333 to .241 and had 15 more kills in the match.

Nebraska will close out conference play at home next week, hosting Maryland Friday at 7 p.m. before taking on Ohio State Saturday at 7 p.m. to end the regular season.
