Nebraska vs. Omaha

• Through 75 all-time meetings, the Huskers hold a dominant 62-13 advantage over the Mavericks in the all-time series.

• Nebraska and Omaha meet for the second time this season after the Mavericks came away with a 10-6 win in the first game between the two in-state foes on March 14 in Lincoln.

• Since Omaha’s transition to DI, the Huskers have won 11 of the 15 meetings against the Mavericks.

Anderson, Matthews Reach 10-HR Mark

• A little over halfway through the season, Max Anderson and Brice Matthews have reached double-digit home-run totals with 11 and 10 homers, respectively.

• With the 21 combined home runs from Anderson and Matthews, the Huskers have reached nine seasons with multiple players reaching 10-plus homers since 2000.

• NU’s leader in home runs has finished with 10 in each of the last two seasons, while Scott Schreiber’s 18 homers in the 2018 campaign is the last time a Husker surpassed the 10-homer mark for the whole season.

Burnham on Base

• Playing predominantly in the No. 9 spot in the lineup and most recently the No. 2 spot through 24 starts, Casey Burnham is third on the team with a .453 on-base percentage.

• Burnham’s ability to get on base in different ways has been a key component to Brice Matthews’ team-leading 46 RBI this season from the leadoff spot.

• The Kansas transfer is hitting .309 with six doubles, a triple, a home run, six walks and 12 hit-by-pitches, while second on the team with 24 runs scored.

NU Bullpen’s Scoreless Streak Snapped

• In a span of seven games, the Nebraska bullpen tossed 24.1 consecutive scoreless innings, which was snapped in game two of last weekend’s series at Michigan.

• In the scoreless stretch, the NU relievers had allowed 14 hits while recording 30 strikeouts and eight walks.

Shay Schanaman (9.1), Jackson Brockett (5.1), Jake Bunz (4.1), Corbin Hawkins (3.2), Will Walsh (1.1) and Will Rizzo (0.1) teamed up to complete the scoreless streak for the Big Red.

Big Red Blasts

• Nebraska has been leaving the yard at an impressive rate this season with 49 long balls through 29 games, which ranks 33rd nationally heading into Tuesday night vs. Omaha.

• So far this season, 12 different players have gone deep for the Big Red. 11 of those 12 players have hit multiple homers, led by Max Anderson (11), Brice Matthews (10) and Gabe Swansen (6).

• NU has homered in 12 of its last 13 games, including 10 in a row, and has gone deep multiple times in 12 games this season.

Matthews a Constant on the Bases

Brice Matthews has been a constant on the base paths for the Huskers recently. Matthews comes into Tuesday night having reached base safely in 32 games. The junior had a 13-game hit streak snapped last weekend at Michigan on Saturday.

• Matthews has reached base safely in all 29 games this season, which is the longest reached base streak in a single-season by a Husker since Michael Pritchard’s streak of 42 games in 2013.
