How about the northern lights this weekend?!? They were spectacular.
I didn’t get a good picture on Friday night (the amazing colors and patterns!) but got a couple of decent ones on Saturday.
Did you get to see the northern lights? What did they look like in your part of the world??
Husker musings…
The Husker women’s softball team fell short in their quest to make the NCAA tournament. This team showed incredible heart and grit after they lost two pitchers to season-ending injuries – including one of the top players in the country in Jordy Bahl.
The Husker men’s baseball team stands in second place in the Big Ten. A few short weeks ago, it looked like they were on a path to host a regional, but that is not likely now. They are equal parts frustrating and exhilerating. They can lose to anyone, but they can beat anyone.
Which team will we see next weekend with the conference championship on the line…?? Nebraska travels to Michigan State – who is currently in a tie for 8th place in the conference and fighting for a spot in the conference tournament. Illinois (the top team in the conference right now) visits Purdue, who is in a three-way tie for third place in the Big Ten.
The Huskers have a chance to win the conference regular season title – despite the boo birds and “fire everyone” crowd that has posted online after midweek games as of late.
As a former college track athlete, I would be remiss if I didn’t hype up the T&F team. The men won the Big Ten championship for the second straight year and the women were second. That is impressive work by second-year head coach Justin St. Clair.
