Huskers make Top 10 for 2026 4-star safety

.

Nebraska football made the top ten list for 2026 four-star safety Bralan Womack. He announced his list on Saturday afternoon.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Womack is the top safety in the 2026 class and the second-best player in his class from Missouri.

Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisville, Texas, and LSU are the other schools vying for Womack. The Huskers offered him on June 24, and the Longhorns most recently offered him on July 25.

Womack has had a successful high school career. He played both sides of the football for Hartfield Academy in Mississippi, doing double duty at the free safety and wide receiver positions.

As a sophomore, he recorded 26 tackles in 13 games. He also recorded seven interceptions and a fumble recovery, per statistics from MaxPreps.com.

Womack was equally as effective on the offensive side of the ball. He made his most significant impact at receiver, where he recorded 32 receptions for 562 yards and ten touchdowns last season.

The Huskers certainly have an uphill battle, especially with some of the other listed schools in the mix. However, this coaching staff has shown they will be aggressive on the recruiting trail. It isn’t easy to count this staff out for anybody.
