Huskers look to recover for Minnesota

By Tommy Rezac

Nebraska (4-5, 3-3 Big Ten) have a decent opportunity to get back in the win column this Saturday. The Huskers will travel to TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN to take on a reeling Minnesota team (4-5, 1-5 Big Ten) which has dropped five of its last six games.

Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. central time. Pregame coverage will start bright and early on Saturday morning with Husker Sports Network pregame coverage starting at 6. The game will also be televised on Fox Sports 1.

Depth Chart/Injury Update

There weren’t many significant changes on Nebraska’s depth chart this week.

Much like last week, there’s a sizable list of players recovering from injuries this week. Junior linebacker (hip) Luke Gifford is doubtful. He hasn’t played in the last two games.

Sophomore linebacker Tyrin Furgeson (turf toe) is “improving,” according to head coach Mike Riley. Sophomore cornerback Eric Lee didn’t play against Wisconsin as he continues to undergo concussion protocol. Riley says they’ll “wait and see” how his protocol goes throughout the week.

Junior safeties Antonio Reed (knee) and Aaron Williams (neck) both suited for the Northwestern game, but didn’t see the field. RIley is “hopeful” they can play against Minnesota.

Freshman running back Jaylin Bradley (ankle) and senior linebacker Chris Weber (stinger) are both questionable this week.

Redshirt freshman linebacker Ben Stille (groin) is hopeful for Saturday.

Penn State Kick Time

All that’s known about the start time of Nebraska’s game at Penn State on Nov. 18 is that it will not be in prime time. The start time should be announced late on Nov. 11 or early on the morning of Nov. 12.

Bill Moos

Riley says he’s had the chance to talk with Nebraska athletic director Bill Moos about their vision of the football program. He mentioned their talks have been “good” and “somewhat” in depth. Riley says the topics are between him and Moos.
