The Nebraska football team has landed a commitment from William Nixon, a wide receiver from Midway High School in Waco, Texas. The 5-foot-11, 185 pound prospect announced the decision on his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

“Thanks to all my Waco Midway coaches and teammates for putting in work with me! Let’s get it this year!” Nixon wrote in his announcement Tweet.

A member of the class of 2020, Nixon is rated three stars by 247Sports. He is also ranked as the 75th best prospect in the state of Texas and the 98th best in the nation.

Nixon had offers from Penn State, Purdue, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech, among a handful of others. He’s the eighth commit of NU’s 2020 class and the second player to commit this month.
