Huskers land commitment from playmaking wide receiver

Nebraska football received a commitment from wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte earlier this week. He announced the commitment on social media.

Bonwell-Witte is a three-star prospect. He is the 94th overall player in the 2026 class, and the second overall player in his class from the state of South Dakota per the 247Sports composite rankings. His primary recruiter for the Huskers was wide receivers coach Garret McGuire. The wideout was present for Saturday’s victory over Rutgers.

Bonwell-Witte had five offers in total, but had many notable programs on that list. Kansas State, Minnesota, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin all offered him in addition to Nebraska.

He is currently out for the rest of his junior season due to a fractured knee. As a sophomore, he recorded 30 catches for 588 yards and five touchdowns last year.

The wideout joins quarterback commit Dayton Raiola as the second commit in the 2026 recruiting class.
