Huskers Earn All-Big Ten Recognition

Nebraska’s Reagan Raabe captured third-team All-Big Ten honors to headline a group of three Huskers who earned recognition when the all-conference teams were announced by the league office on Thursday, Oct. 28.

A native of Omaha, Neb., Raabe started all 18 games and tallied seven goals and three assists for a team-high 17 points. She scored NU’s first goal of the 2021 season and recorded a brace in the season opener against Western Illinois. Raabe also tallied two game-winning goals and 18 shots on goal.

Newcomer Sarah Weber made the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. A forward from Gretna, Neb., Weber started all 18 games and earned 14 points, scoring six goals and recording two assists. She took a team-high 62 shots and 31 shots on goal, placing her third in the conference standings. Weber scored in the last two games to close the regular season.

Rounding out Nebraska’s list of Big Ten honorees was senior Olivia Brown, who earned NU’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for soccer. Brown started in the first 11 games of the season, recording her first career goal and helping the NU defense produce six shutouts, before an injury sidelined her.

Nebraska’s all-time all-conference total increases to 102, including 32 honorees since joining the Big Ten in 2011.

The Huskers completed the 2021 season with an overall record of 7-9-2 and finished 11th in the Big Ten with a 3-5-2 mark in conference play. NU fell short of qualifying for the eight-team Big Ten Tournament.
