Huskers Conclude Season at NCAA Midwest Regional



The Nebraska cross country team wrapped up its season at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Friday in Columbia, Mo. The women’s team posted an 11th-place finish with 389 points, while the men placed 24th with a score of 631 points.

Oklahoma State took home the women’s title with 58 points, followed by Northwestern and Bradley with 88 and 99 points, respectively. Tulsa won the men’s regional title with 49 points, while Oklahoma State (49) and Iowa State (73) rounded out the top three teams on the men’s side. 

Brynna McQuillen led the Nebraska women with a 38th-place run of 20:58.0. Hannah Godwin clocked a 21:13.3 to finish 55th, while Lindsey Blehm and Emma Ralston placed 95th and 97th with runs of 21:44.3 and 21:46.0, respectively. Taya Skelton rounded out the scoring for the Huskers with a time of 21:48.9 in 104th.

Bailey Timmons was the top finisher for the Husker men in 77th place (30:59.2). Jake Ralston finished 126th with a time of 31:37.9, and Cal Puskar was the Huskers’ third finisher at 140th overall, running 31:52.1.
