Huskers Add Nocita to Softball Staff

Nebraska softball coach Rhonda Revelle announced the addition of Mandie Nocita on Tuesday as the Director of Video Technology and Analytics for the Huskers.

“We are thrilled to have Mandie join our team,” Revelle said. “She is a great softball mind, passionate about the game and as a native Nebraskan, she has a love for the Huskers. Mandie’s energy is contagious, and we are looking forward to her getting to work and helping us continue to chase excellence.”

Nocita joins the Huskers after spending the last eight years at Buena Vista as the head softball coach. During the 2022 season, she guided the Beavers to their first American Rivers Conference title since 1996 as well as securing their first NCAA Regional Tournament berth. Nocita compiled an overall record of 148-130. She was named the A-R-C Coach of the Year in 2022 and coached the A-R-C Position Player of the Year. Overall, the Beavers had 16 all-conference selections, eight All-Region honorees and one First Team Capital One Academic All-District player during her tenure.

“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity presented by Rhonda (Revelle) and Keith (Zimmer) to work alongside one of the most respected staffs in college softball,” Nocita said. “I am excited to advance my career and be a part of a program I have long admired at an institution that sets the standard for women’s athletics. I cannot wait to get started. Go Big Red!”

As the Director of Video Technology and Analytics, Nocita will be responsible for all of the Huskers’ video needs, including the shooting and editing of practice and game video, which includes tagging every pitch during the season. She will also assist the coaching staff with advanced opponent video scouting.

A native of Omaha, Neb., Nocita is a graduate of Missouri Western State, where she was a four-year starter at third base from 2006-09. She was a three-time Honorable Mention All-MIAA performer and is in the record book for several Griffon career and single-season records. Nocita earned her master’s degree in Kinesiology, Sport Management from Central Missouri in 2013.
