6-2, 210 Sophomore Quarterback
- Serving as Nebraska’s backup quarterback for most of the 2022 season, it was an up-and-down campaign for Purdy. His first two big chances against Oklahoma and Illinois were uncertain and turnover-filled, but Purdy still flashed his potential late in the season against Michigan.
A capable runner who’s comfortable with read-option plays, Purdy should be able to step in and run the offense if needed.
His success as a backup will depend on whether or not he can improve his passing progressions — and whether or not he can stay healthy.
