We are counting down the top 50 Nebraska football players you need to know heading into the season.
No. 42 Tristan Alvano
6-1, 200 • Sophomore • Kicker
Alvano’s role as Nebraska’s starting kicker is secured, but the Huskers will need more out of the second-year player in 2024.
Alavano was dependable on extra points last fall, going 27-for-27, but he left too many points on the field with six missed field goals.
Those misses, primarily from over 40 yards out, led Alvano to focus on consistency in his kicking approach this spring.
The Husker kicker has a big leg that helps extend his range, but in order to be trusted on 50-yard tries, he’ll have to dependably conquer the shorter kicks first.
