Among a talented crowd of receivers who made little separation from each other in the spring, Garcia-Castaneda holds at least one small edge — he’s produced in a Nebraska uniform before.
Only Marcus Washington (31 grabs for 471 yards, 1 one touchdown) did more last year among returning Husker pass catchers than IGC.
The former New Mexico State transfer started hot, making four receptions for 120 yards and a touchdown in the opener against Northwestern. His final line through four games was five snags for the same total before entering the transfer portal amid a Big Red coaching change.

Garcia-Castaneda stuck with NU under coach Matt Rhule.
Already a four-season veteran, the speedster still technically has two years of eligibility left after because of the 2020 pandemic campaign and redshirting last fall.
