No. 34 Vincent Shavers
6-1, 205 • Freshman • Linebacker
Rated as a three- and four-star prospect by different recruiting services, Shavers was a two-way player in high school in Miami and joined Nebraska as a linebacker.
As a senior in high school, he had 46 tackles and seven sacks. He enrolled at NU in January and played in the Huskers’ spring game, recording a solo tackle and an assist.
If he’s going to get regular playing time, he’ll have to leapfrog a handful of more experienced teammates. John Bullock, Mikai Gbayor, MJ Sherman and Princewill Umanmielen will all return from a season ago.
