H2H conference matchups

So I’ve been clamoring for head to head conference matchups for a few years now with my buddies and I’m ready to take this to the next level.

I am now DEMANDING (on the absolute zero ground I have to make demands on lol) that we schedule full conference head to head matchups the way we do in NCAA Basketball.

Think of how awesome that would be and settle a lot of debates (or at least add some arsenal to them).

Here’s how I envision it:

Previous year’s records (including bowl) to determine seeding. 1v1, 2v2, etc all the way down.

We have 3 OOC games. NCAA makes a move to make that universal for every conference. B12 gets needed to 16 teams. ACC, PAC, B1G add teams to get to 16.

Year 1 for B1G is SEC and B12
Year 2 is B12 and ACC
Year 3 is ACC and PAC
Year 4 is PAC and SEC

That leaves 1 OOC week for the team to schedule whoever (and protects some of those OOC rivalries like Clemson-USC, UGA-GT, etc).

You could start this in 2026, as it would give teams time to clear out the schedule and because it’s backed by NCAA and conferences, there’s no penalties for canceling the matchups.

NCAA and conferences could find ways to incentivize the H2H matchups somehow too but these matchups would draw a lot more viewers and revenue than watching Ohio St beat Southern Maine St 96-3.
