Frosted Flakes: The Birds and One Week Until Football.

Do you know that old Alfred Hitchcock movie “The Birds”?

I’m pretty sure I’m living it, but with one bird. A month or two ago my sons and I noticed that a bird was building a nest in the corner by our garage door. My husband wanted to move it and we told him to just leave the bird be.

It turns out that was a mistake. I am pretty sure the bird has some babies up there, although I haven’t seen them yet. Either way she is being really defensive.

On Saturday I opened the garage door and was loading up my car and throwing away trash and she kept swooping and squeaking at me. She kept getting closer and angrier. Then last night I was watering my plants out front and back she came.

I thought I was being nice sharing my house with her and now I don’t know if I’ll make it to watch the Huskers play next Saturday. Sure, it’s just one bird now, but maybe she’s going to call in some friends.

If you hear that some Nebraska woman was hospitalized after a bird attack, you’ll know it’s me.
