I’ve already stated that I love the Summer Olympics. My favorite events to watch are the swimming, track and field, and my ultimate favorite, women’s gymnastics.
I can still remember watching the 1996 Olympics. I was ten years old and I could not get enough of watching the USA gymnastics compete. I was doing cartwheels and attempting routines all over my house, just wishing that I’d be able to compete like them.
As amazing as that 96’ team was, hello Kerri Strug and her sprained ankle, Simone Biles is definitely the GOAT. She is absolutely amazing. She has moves named after her! Last week in the world championships, she was the first woman in history to land a Yurchenko Double Pike in a competition.
