Frosted Flakes: Husker Women’s Basketball Tips Off Tonight

The Husker women face Drake. We also bring you news about teeth in a wall and women ruling the world.

I will start with the un-fun stuff. KNOCK OFF THE POLITICAL COMMENTARY ON CORNNATION! This is a sports blog. This is the place where we talk about what a poopy-head our offensive/defensive coordinator is. This is where we wonder why our team’s coaches have jobs at this level when average people like us could see a better way to call plays. This is also where we argue about which quarterback should be starting – although I suspect that question may have been solved for Nebraska for a while.

If all else fails, we also argue about whether we have a rival or not.

Also worth arguing about is the lack of respect the women’s hoopsters are geting in this preseason. Nebraska finished third in the conference, was selected for the NCAA tournament, is being led by the reigning B1G Coach of the Year, and returns their top five scorers. However, they are nowhere to be seen in any media reports I’ve read about top finishers. Maryland, Iowa, Michigan, Rutgers, and even Michigan State get some mentions, but not Nebraska.
