Friendly Sooner looking for advice on the trip to Lincoln

Hello Nebraska folk,

My gf and I are planning to make the trip to Lincoln in a month for the OU game, and I was hoping to get some advice from y’all on how to make the trip as good as it can be.

1) Tickets. Where is the best bet to find 2 tickets for the game? We look younger than we are and can definitely still pass as students if they don’t check student IDs at the gate. I see the facebook group linked on the sidebar. I do not have a FB account. Is there any other trustworthy place to get tickets?

2) Lodging. Where should I book a room? Any hotels close enough to the stadium to walk? Or should I expect to Uber around town? Air BNB reputation around Lincoln?

3) Gameday festivities. Where are the best tailgating spots? What are the must have food places to try while we are there? What is a tradition in Lincoln that outsiders may not know about? Anything special on campus to see?

We were in Norman for the game last year, and made friends with a handful of very friendly Nebraska fans. I should have gotten their contact information… We hope to represent OU well in Lincoln just as all the Huskers we met in Norman last year did.

Thanks for any advice you share!
