Have had some sick kids this week so I’m kind of mailing it in on Flakes.
Yesterday I stumbled upon The Hangover. I haven’t seen that movie in quite a while. Watched it again and my thought was why don’t they make comedies like this anymore?
It is extremely enjoyable, ridiculous, smooth and hilarious movie. A movie that you can watch numerous times and still enjoy it.
I haven’t done a deep dive but I wonder if this was the last “great comedy.” I’m sure many of you definitely disagree.
If The Hangover isn’t the last great comedy then what would be?
(Hangover 2 was okay but it couldn’t live up to the original. Hangover 3 was simply awful, though maybe I should give it another re-watch.)
Wife: “What did you wear to work today?”
Me: “Today was business casual.”
Her: “Oh, dress pants and a collared shirt.”
Me: “Nope. I wore a blank white yard sign attached to a set of shoulder pads.”#GBR #Huskers https://t.co/oqExPqd00I

How to be a Hollywood creative today:
1. Pick some old franchise with a loyal fan base.
2. Remake it, but remove everything that once made it popular.
3. Insult the fanbase when they protest your creative decisions.
4. Blame negative reviews on toxic trolls.
5. Move on.— The Critical Drinker (@TheCriticalDri2) August 4, 2021
