You know what I’m tired of thinking about?
Is Omar Manning going to be a stud this season? Who is going to start at running back? How are we going to run this offense when the two best tight ends are out for 24 months with injuries? Will they finally have a pass rusher? Who is going to do kickoffs? Can that person get the ball to the end-zone? Who is the back-up quarterback? Can a true freshmen from Kearney Catholic actually be ready to run this offense if Adrian Martinez gets injured? What week of the season will Martinez get injured?
I’m tired of thinking about all of that which is why I was extremely excited when I heard Bo Pelini went on Will Compton’s podcast (Bussin’ with the Boys) for an almost 2 hour conversation with his former coach. Compton’s partner on the podcast is former Michigan Wolverine Taylor Lewan.
I really suggest giving the podcast a listen. There are many great stories in that podcast but this one was my favorite.
This was a nice break from Nebraska football’s fall camp. Actual games can’t get here soon enough.

Nebraska DL commit Hayden Schwartz ready for senior season
The Bolles School three-star defensive lineman Hayden Schwartz gave a verbal commitment to Nebraska roughly a month ago picking the Cornhuskers over Michigan and Missouri. He couldn’t be happier with his decision.
“I have shut everything down,” Schwartz told 247Sports at the Baker’s Sports Media Day inside TIAA Bank Field last week. “I’m locked in.”
Husker freshman Ervin bringing ‘dog mentality’ to competition
He wore a Band-Aid on one cheek and this was no stylistic attempt at bringing back Nelly’s early 2000 look. After all, Gabe Ervin had just been born (heavy gulp for some of us of a certain age) about that time the singing artist was most popular. Rather, this was the evidence of a battle scar from the day’s action.

No, Nebraska isn’t going to wear a football uniform inspired by Lil’ Red.
But if you looked around Twitter this week, you might’ve thought the Huskers were planning to play in the red overalls of our beloved inflatable mascot.
Bo Pelini shared a new conspiracy theory about the 2009 Big 12 championship | Football | omaha.com
The most memorable — and infuriating — moment in the last two decades of Nebraska football involved referees putting one second back on the clock so Texas could attempt a game-winning field goal in the 2009 Big 12 championship.
That story is well-known by now. But former NU coach Bo Pelini dropped a previously unheard conspiracy theory while talking on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast co-hosted by former Husker linebacker Will Compton.

Can Snakes Really Come Up a Toilet Pipe? | HowStuffWorks
Snakes are often high on the list of things adults are most afraid of. So, imagine the reaction to a snake slithering its way up out of your toilet, particularly when you’re about to sit down.
If even the thought of toilet snakes sends chills down your spine, take heart; while it’s certainly possible for a snake to end up in your toilet, it’s extraordinarily unlikely. The very reason that these stories make headlines is that they are so very rare, and so shiver-inducing.
