Friday Flakes: Reported that Nebraska’s Micah Mazzccua is on a Flight to San Francisco Today – So Won’t Play at Purdue Huskers News Matt Rhule

H/T to @HuskersX for catching this.

Tim Verghese, writer for Nebraska Rivals, said that his co-worker Steve Merritt was at the Omaha airport this morning to get on a flight to go to Chicago where he saw Micah Mazzccua also at the airport but getting on a flight to San Francisco.

For those of you that do not know, Micah Mazzccua was the starting guard for Nebraska at the beginning of the season but then hasn’t played since and was because of coaches decision which means it wasn’t an injury.

There have been hopes that he was working to get back into the good graces of the staff and Matt Rhule even indicated that he was moving in that direction.

The most positive explanation is that he simply has yet to make the 74 player traveling roster for the Purdue game and wanted to see family or friends this weekend. However, Huskers.com says his hometown is Philadelphia, PA.

The most negative explanation is well, maybe he is no longer on the team.

Cowboys’ games under Mike McCarthy have showed a clear trend — which could doom or delight Giants – Yahoo Sports
As Tom Brady watched the Dallas Cowboys’ offense try to climb out of a 28-6 third-quarter hole, the seven-time Super Bowl champion acknowledged his analysis might sound trite.

“To say, ‘We want to start fast,’ well, of course — we know that,” Brady said.
