We can all dream.
Since Oklahoma and Texas have made it known that they would like to leave the Big 12 it really throws conference alignment right into the mainstream conversation. So with that said here are the ranking of schools that I would like to join the Big 10 for schools that are currently not a member of SEC.
There will be no rationalization or logic.
- Oklahoma
- Notre Dame
- Kansas
- Oregon
- Stanford
- Iowa State
- Utah/BYU
- Cincinnati
- Baylor/Texas Tech/Oklahoma State/TCU/West Virginia/Kansas State

Regarding the Big 12 – They Had A Meeting Today Regarding Conference Retraction
Sure seems like they are waving the white flag
Prominent Big 12 source tells the American-Statesman the Texas-OU move to the SEC is almost done. “They’ve been working on this for a minimum of 6 months, and the A&M leadership was left out of discussions and wasn’t told about it.” Move could become official in a week.

Something? Or Nothing?
I’ve done a lot of cool things in my Sports Law career… but none cooler than this.
All I can say for now is that I’m working on a top secret project that will make Nebraska fans very happy… and might not be so well received at Big Ten HQ.

Husker questions as Big Ten Media Days arrives
Not always the source of text-your-buddy “did you see this?” information, but a sign that you can tell the kids that, yes, we are actually almost there yet, Big Ten Media Days is here and a football season is at the next mile marker.
So let’s not grumble but instead be thankful for those repetitive questions, the “talk about” statements and that coach-speak can be uttered in this setting once again. OK, it does have its purpose. And we’re here to hopefully offer some insight on Thursday when Scott Frost and three Huskers (Austin Allen, Deontai Williams, Ben Stille) join him to answer questions.
What might we learn? Here are just a few things to consider.
Cade Povich signs pro deal with Minnesota Twins
Nebraska baseball will be looking for a new Friday Night starter in 2022, after previous ace Cade Povich signed with the Minnesota Twins on Thursday.
Povich was one of 12 signings announced by the Twins on Thursday, and Povich signed after being taken in the third round by the MLB club, who had Povich throw a bullpen session at Target Field prior to the MLB Draft.
Wilcher sees plenty of space to thrive shooting it for Huskers
If you’re a true sharp-shooter on the hardwood, who expects a splash every time you let it go, there is only one answer when asked who’s the best shooter on the squad: You’re talking to him.
C.J. Wilcher carries that gonna-make-the-next-one mentality, and politely but without hesitation answered as such when asked that question on Tuesday. “I feel like I am, 100 percent.”

Texas, Oklahoma move to SEC could outrage Texas A&M, but that’s just part of the far-reaching realignment fallout – The Athletic
The only certainties are that the Big 12 is on thin ice again and the Aggies have no interest in sharing a league with their “former” rival.

Researchers discover 28 never-before-seen viruses frozen in ice
A group of scientists discovered ancient viruses frozen in two ice samples taken from the Tibetan Plateau in China, and most of them are unlike anything ever seen before.
The findings, published Wednesday in the journal Microbiome, came from ice cores taken in 2015 that scientists said began to freeze at least 14,400 years ago.
3 Legendary pilgrimages off the beaten path
Christian pilgrimages were first made to sites associated with the birth, life, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus —but also to those associated with the first saints and martyrs of the church. Testimonies date back as early as to the 3rd century, and plenty of surviving descriptions of Christian pilgrimages to the Holy Land date from the 4th century, making it clear this practice was quite common. What’s more, it was encouraged by several Church Fathers, both Eastern and Western.
Here, we list three exceptional pilgrimages off the beaten path that you might want to add to your bucket list — one in the Middle East, one in Ireland, and one in continental Europe.
Chili. I used to make chili that I loved and then I got sick one night and now the smell of Chili makes me gag.
Five Years Later
Today marks five years since the tragic accident that took the lives of Sam Foltz and Mike Saddler at far too young an age.
