You can be critical of Matt Rhule for various things if you want to, but I would say that one of my favorite things about Matt Rhule is that he is a breath of fresh air.
In the interview with Hurrdat Sports yesterday, which I posted below, Rhule went a long answer (which I love) when he started talking about the loyalty of certain players. He talked about the loyalty of Thomas Fidone.
Then he threw out another player who he said was extremely loyal in Chief Borders, who announced he was entering the transfer portal several days ago. He said that Borders was loyal to the end. Didn’t quit on the team during the spring and played his butt off in the spring game.
He said that Borders is moving on to his next step, wherever that may be. He didn’t quit on the Huskers when he absolutely could have.
Most college football coaches have this world against us mentality and Matt Rhule certainly is not one of them.
It is kind of nice.

Spring game environment impresses highly touted 2026 OT Mason Bandhauer
Fort Collins (Colo.) junior offensive tackle Mason Bandbauer was back in Lincoln for the Nebraska spring game on Saturday. The 6-foot-5 and 270-pound three-star recruit was very impressed with the spring game atmosphere. Nebraska is treating Bandhauer like a top, 2026 target for the Huskers.
The 3-2-1: Sizing up Nebraska’s relatively quiet transfer portal news – On3
As the spring transfer portal window closed this week, things were relatively quiet at Nebraska.
In this week’s 3-2-1 column, we hit on that and more with three things we learned, two questions, and one prediction.
Preview: Nebraska begins final regular-season push at Minnesota
On the heels of an improbable Jackson Brockett no-hitter and a critical 8-0 win over Kansas State, Nebraska baseball opens the month of May with a visit to the Twin Cities this weekend.

How the Knicks’ special chemistry helped them turn back the 76ers – Yahoo Sports
PHILADELPHIA — Josh Hart’s magnetic palms secured the basketball one last time against the 76ers on Thursday night. A last-ditch heave from Buddy Hield clanked off the backboard like a missile seeking Hart’s possession, his 14th and final rebound as the buzzer sounded on New York’s Game 6 victory over Joel Embiid and Co. The Knicks’ scrappy swingman — the 6-foot-4 giant on the glass who’s averaged 12.3 boards per game these playoffs — then waved the crowd goodbye, his 3-pointer with 24.4 seconds to play proving to be the decisive dagger in New York’s 118-115 survival and 4-2 series win. Hart would keep that game ball close, cradled to his hip, strutting around the court through postgame pleasantries with Philadelphia players and personnel.
Through 6 starts, new Cubs ace Shota Imanaga has been the best pitcher in MLB – Yahoo Sports
Ask a Chicago Cub about Shota Imanaga, and their eyes get wide.
It’s a look of awe, appreciation, affection, reverence, confusion, surprise. And also gratitude, gratitude that Imanaga pitches for their ballclub and not another. That’s because, just a month into this new season, the 30-year-old Japanese rookie has established himself as one of the most unique and dominant pitchers in the sport.

‘Hysterical strength’? Fight or flight? This is how your body reacts to extreme stress
A 16-year-old boy lifts a Volkswagen off his pinned neighbor. A mother fights off a polar bear to protect her children. A daughter heaves an overturned tractor from atop her father. These feats are made possible by a rush of adrenaline and by unlocking bodily systems and muscle capacity that are only fully accessed in moments of extreme duress.
6 Exercises to Stop Slouching | The Art of Manliness
Earlier this year when I made a video about how to plan your week, several viewers commented on the Quasimodo-like hunchback I displayed. As a guy who spends much of his time sitting slumped over a laptop, I was aware I had developed a terrible slouch. And I wasn’t proud of it. Not only did it make me look unconfident and lazy, little did I know, my poor posture was also wreaking havoc on my upper body flexibility. I discovered this while filming another video — this time on how to do a low bar squat.
