Three things are true.
First, as of right now Nebraska is a 6.5 to 7.0 point underdog to Indiana tomorrow.
Second, the best team Indiana has played so far might be Northwestern. Also the Hoosier’s first six opponents are a combined 14-22. As far as Big Ten opponents, those combined records are 1-9 in conference play.
Third, the average margin of victory for Indiana this season is almost 33 points per game. Winning by 74 over Western Illinois surely helps but they beat Maryland by 14 and Northwestern by 17.
The great conundrum of this game is that Indiana hasn’t been tested yet this season but they still might be pretty good.
If you look at Indiana’s schedule, they could easily go 11-1 with that one loss to Ohio State. If Nebraska can find a way to beat Indiana tomorrow then the Huskers could have a win over a 10-2 team at the end of the year.
Quite the opportunity for Nebraska.

The owner of the Kansas City Chiefs said Wednesday that he has no issue with kicker Harrison Butker forming a political action committee designed to encourage Christians to vote for what the PAC describes as “traditional values.”
Butker announced his Upright PAC last weekend, during the Chiefs’ bye, in a series of postings on social media.
The 3-2-1: NU President Jeffrey Gold talks AAU future – On3
Nebraska President Jeffrey Gold discussed getting NU back into the AAU. Nebraska is currently the only Big Ten school that is not a member.
In this week’s 3-2-1 column, we hit on that and more with three things we learned, two questions, and one prediction.
Matt Rhule talks Indiana, program building, Blackshirts and more
Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule joined the Huskers Radio Network on Wednesday to discuss Indiana’s impressive start, a road test on the big stage, new Blackshirts and more.
Here’s a recap of everything Rhule had to say:
Nebraska is eager for next offseason test in Utah scrimmage
Less than a week after making its public debut during its Red-White scrimmage, Nebraska basketball gets its first unofficial road test on Saturday.
The Huskers will travel to Salt Lake City for a closed scrimmage against Utah. It’s a return trip after the Runnin’ Utes came to Lincoln last fall.
Young Husker Watch: Some players who are growing behind the scenes
They may be out of view to the public, but definitely not out of mind for this Husker coaching staff.
Some first- and second-year players in Nebraska’s program are growing behind the scenes and last week’s bye allowed even further opportunity for that.
Football 301 Playbook: Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offense isn’t what it used to be, but it’s still a tough matchup for 49ers – Yahoo Sports
Much has been made about the Kansas City Chiefs’ pass catchers: The Hollywood Brown signing (and injury), the Xavier Worthy draft pick, Rashee Rice’s emergence (and then unfortunate injury), Travis Kelce’s usage arguments and JuJu Smith-Schuster partying like it’s 2018. Despite cruising to a 5-0 record and sitting firmly in the top 10 in whatever metric you want to look at, there have been a lot of words yelled and written about “what’s wrong with the Chiefs’ offense?”
Detroit Pistons 2024-25 season preview: Is this still the worst team in the NBA? – Yahoo Sports
We are three years into former No. 1 overall pick Cade Cunningham’s career, and we are no closer to answering the question: Is he a foundational star? He has shown glimpses of greatness. He finished third behind Scottie Barnes and Evan Mobley in 2022 Rookie of the Year voting. He returned from a shin injury, which cost him all but 12 games of his sophomore campaign, to average a 23-4-8 per game last season.
