Four-star WR Brown recommits to Huskers

The Nebraska football team received its 11th verbal commitment for the 2018 recruiting class on Monday afternoon when four-star wide receiver Cameron Brown of St. Louis (MO) Christian Brothers College announced his recommitment to Nebraska via Twitter.

Brown originally committed to Nebraska on May 7, but reopened his recruitment after attending an Ohio State football camp and receiving a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes on June 9.

Brown attended Nebraska’s Friday Night Lights camp at Memorial Stadium on June 23 with 2018 Nebraska receiver commits Joshua Moore and Manuel Allen.

Brown, listed at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, brings a lot of speed with a 4.48-second 40-yard-dash, according to Scout.com.

He ran a 4.51 40-yard dash at a Nike football camp in Chicago on April 2.

Brown is a former high school teammate of current Husker running back and sophomore Tre Bryant. He’s ranked as a four-star prospect on both 247 and Scout. Scout ranks him the highest of any recruiting service as the No. 230 overall player in the 2018 class.

247 Sports lists him as No. 311 overall, while Rivals.com has him as a three-star prospect and the No. 79 receiver in the country.

Brown released his top five schools on Twitter Sunday, including Ohio State, Missouri, Georgia and Alabama.
