Having recently landed its first 2026 commitment, the Nebraska football team will be searching for more in the coming weeks.
Of the many priority 2026 targets that Nebraska hosted for unofficial visits against Colorado, quarterback Dayton Raiola was the first to decide he wanted to be a Husker. After a recent Friday night game limited Nebraska’s ability to host high school recruits, the Huskers are again expected to have a swath of talent on their sidelines this Saturday.
“I’ve talked to players that were at some of the biggest games in college football this year and they still say, ‘Hey, coming to Colorado was the best experience they’ve had this year,’” Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said Thursday. “So credit to our crowd, our game atmosphere and game operations that we were able to put out such a good product.”
Off to a winning start, Nebraska has had plenty to show prospective recruits in terms of its on-field progression. The immediate playing time for freshmen like Dylan Raiola, Jacory Barney and Carter Nelson doesn’t hurt, either — and it’s a vision for the future which Rhule hopes visiting recruits will see.
“Whether they come in as a 2-star, 5-star or walk-on, the mark of a good program is that they reach their potential,” Rhule said. “If players are reaching their potential, then that’s where you should go.”
Nebraska’s 2026 recruiting efforts will continue with a visit from one of the nation’s top defensive line prospects. Bryce Perry-Wright, a four-star prospect who is a former high school teammate of Dylan Raiola at Buford High School, is ranked as a top 10 defensive line recruit nationally with an offer list to match.
Perry-Wright has taken a visit every weekend this season, having seen Georgia, Clemson, Auburn, Texas A&M and Alabama prior to his trip to Nebraska.
Saint Louis University defensive back Keenan Harris, a four-star recruit who took part in Nebraska’s July junior day, is set to return to campus for a gameday visit. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound safety prospect is one of Nebraska’s top targets at defensive back.
One of Nebraska’s priority 2026 targets on offense, Sioux Falls (South Dakota) Washington wide receiver Dveyoun Bonwell-Witte, will take in the game as an unranked prospect whose potential earned him a Husker offer over the summer. Kansas State, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Wisconsin are the other programs who’ve identified a future difference-maker in Bonwell-Witte.
A pair of offensive linemen from within Nebraska’s 500-mile radius, Derby (Kansas) lineman Maxwell Robinson and Salina (Kansas) Central lineman Kaden Snyder, are also set to visit.
