The Nebraska Football team will be represented by five players at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

The league put out its list of combine invites on Tuesday. The Huskers will be represented by kicker Drew Brown, offensive tackle Nick Gates, quarterback Tanner Lee, cornerback Chris Jones and safety Joshua Kalu.

Lee recently competed in the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL on Jan. 27, where he completed 8-of-19 passes for 86 yards and an interception. He also had a fumble that was returned for a touchdown.

Lee appeared on CBS Sports Radio’s ‘Jim Rome Show’ on Jan. 17 to talk about his NFL Combine preparations.

“I’m just really working on everything that goes into those combine workouts,” Lee said. “Just getting faster, quicker and stronger. Then, I’m working with coach Steve Calhoun from (Armed and Dangerous Football Camp in California) on all of my quarterback details and my technicalities and my mechanics.”

One name left off the invite list was wide receiver/punt returner De’Mornay Pierson-El. He finished his senior season with 623 receiving yards and five touchdowns. He also had 92 punt-return yards on 13 attempts. He finished fifth in NU’s record books with 812 career punt-return yards.

This year’s NFL Combine will be held from Feb. 27 – March 5 in Indianapolis.
