Dodged a Bullet…….THE NCAA!

The front page of today’s OWH had a article (source Friday ‘s Wallstreet Journal) entitled “Decade-old NCAA no-nos a close call for the Huskers”. Look closely or you’ll miss it. It stated that former Husker Players have admitted they accepted clothes, private flights, rent etc. from Financial Advisor Mary Wong? They liken this to the Reggie Bush issue at USC. The former HUSKERS named were Steve Octavien and Marlon Lucky. There was no mention of the Bullock brothers but Mary Wong was their Financial Advisor and represented them in their investment in a Omaha Bank and other dealings.
The OWH stated the statute of limitations might save NU from sanctions and NU essentially said this is old news and nothing to see here. Interestingly not a mention of this in today’s OWH Sports Page and the cover story was written by MATTHEW HANSEN (Columnist).
