Corn Flakes: Swimming in the Seine, Dream Team Camp, and the Home Run Derby

As much as I love the Olympics it blows my mind the money spent to get a city ready for it. The buildings that are built and the money put in to making sure everything is up to par.

The Seine river in Paris has been illegal to swim in for over a century and it is where marathon and triathlon swimmers are supposedly going to swim. I feel like there should’ve been a better plan for this. It doesn’t seem to be quite ready and they are running out of time.

Personally, if I was one of those swimmers, I wouldn’t be too thrilled about swimming there, even if they tell me that it is clean and safe.

Will the Seine be clean enough to swim in by the Olympics? Not even the experts know : NPR
Triathlon and marathon swimming are to take place in the Seine, where it has been illegal to swim for more than a century. The water has tested unsafe in recent weeks, and cleaner on other days.

Hopefully they get it all figured out and soon.
