I went to the spring game with my sons and my brother. For my youngest it was his first football game at Memorial Stadium and it was a great time. The weather was perfect and it was a game day atmosphere without the opposing fans that my oldest had to deal with at his first game.
At one point in the game my oldest marveled in the fact that Dylan Riaola threw a long pass to Jaylen Lloyd that seemed to “fall right into his hands.” “He wasn’t even looking for it.” And then he said, “we should just do that everytime.” I agreed that it would be ideal if we could. This is the pass he was referring to in case you haven’t already seen it a million times:
Long story short, we have been drinking all of the Kool-Aid over here.
Now on another Husker related note:
Any Chicago area readers that are interested in a fun Husker event should check out this event!
The Husker Alumni Association in Chicago has an upcoming scholarship fundraiser event on May 2nd. Part of the event will be not only networking with fellow Huskers but also Sean Callahan discussing the spring game and upcoming fall season. In addition they will have a silent auction to enhance the fundraiser with some items that are pretty cool – autographed football & volleyballs along with a pair of game tickets. Here is a link to the NAA page with more information.
