Corn Flakes: Good Old Fashioned Family Road Trip

Hello! I just got home yesterday from a 9-day road trip with my family. As we headed off in our Traverse, I asked my husband if he felt like Clark Griswold and he agreed that he did a little bit.

We headed first to Cheyenne, then to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons, to Yellowstone, to Devil’s Tower, to the Black Hills, to the Badlands, and finally stayed in Sioux Falls before heading home. It was an amazing trip and I cannot believe all of the beautiful nature that we saw. We were super thrilled that we got to see bears too, they eluded us for the first few days, so we were grateful to sneak a peak.

I think my favorite part was the hike to the Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point at Jenny Lake in the Grand Tetons.

My kids are 7 and 10 and I feel like they were at a really good age for this. They did well with all the hiking, although my younger one would have preferred only to climb, and didn’t complain too much about the long car rides. It was a truly spectacular vacation, but we are all glad to be home and to settle into our summer.

Here are your flakes.
