Chasing 3?

Illinois failed to get a 1st down & was going to have to punt with over a minute to go, Rhule chose to let the clock run down to :45 seconds to call the timeout.

After the game he was asked about it and he said calling the timeouts is what, “the book says to do”.

Does he know how to read? Yes, calling the timeout there is the move, but immediately. Not letting 20+ seconds run off then doing it. He’s still using the same “book” that results in L’s.

Chasing 3. Chasing 3! CHASING 3!!!

They’ve made this their MO, then when they have a chance to give Dylan more time to chase 3 & the win…they don’t do it?

Still scratching my head.
