Cam Chick Drives In 4, Huskers Clinch Series Against Boilermakers With 13-4 Victory

Cam Chick hit his second home run of the weekend to help the Nebraska baseball team defeat the Purdue Boilermakers 13-4 on Saturday afternoon. Nate Fisher only lasted three innings due to injury, while the bullpen was solid in six innings of relief.

After Fisher worked a scoreless first, Nebraska took the lead in the home half. Joe Acker led the game off with a walk. A base hit from Mojo Hagge advanced Acker to second before Luke Roskam hit a bloop single into center to score Acker.

Purdue managed to score three runs in the third inning to take the lead. Cam Chick was unable to field a bunt to start the inning. Fisher hit the next batter to bring up Skyler Hunter. Hunter hit a triple to the gap in left center.

The trainers would come out to look at Fisher who appeared to be struggling with his command slightly. Fisher would stay in the game and would put himself within one pitch of getting out of the inning with a pop up for the second out. Another error on the Huskers allowed Hunter to score from third.
