Burn it to the ground

All of it. The tradition,the titles,the records every damn thing that has to do with anything good grab it, put it in a seperate wing and hide it. It’s the only way we will get better and move on.

This is 4 full different coaching staffs that have now spanned 15 years and it looks the exact same. Costly and untimely penalties,turnovers,bad and I mean bad terrible playcalling(on the brightside scott didn’t throw it sideways this weekend. Yay!) At this point I don’t think its coaching or talent. This program has the weakest psyche I have ever seen from a program and it seems like the kids and coaches are so damned afraid to play football it’s frightening. It’s like they FEEL the ghost of Tommy O and the 90s that they can’t even block on the field.

Trev Alberts needs to clean house.(as a side note I was in the camp of giving Frost 6 full seasons. After Saturday I don’t need to see another game.) He needs to go Barry Alvarez style instill his type of scheme and hire a coach to execute it. Tell this guy not worry about whatever happened 30 years ago because it doesn’t matter. Don’t worry about national titles or being relevant. Focus on winning 7 games for a few years then turn to competing in the Big Ten west a few years down the line.

Next up is this rabid fan base. I get it. We were really good a long time ago. But stop it. Just stop it. For years fans have been telling me “10-2!” Or “Big Ten title here we come!” No. No! It’s not going to happen and I’ve been saying it since Bo. Yeah he was a 9 win guy but he could have easily won 6 every year too. We have to start with worrying about the Medicare Big 10 teams before we even consider beating Wisconsin(at this point Minnesota,Purdue,Illinois are the teams we need to worry about.)

If not It’s not going to change. It’s not. We can bring in the next guy but if we are selling him and the players on National Titles 25+ years ago we will be firing the next guy in 5 years. It has to change and it starts with it burning it to the ground.
