Brendan “Bookie” Radley-Hines Decommits from Nebraska

One of Nebraska’s top recruits decommits from our beloved Huskers and opens up his recruitment.

Four-star defensive back Brendan “Bookie” Radley-Hines announced tonight on Twitter that he was reopening his recruitment.

This is the hardest, most hectic thing I’ve ever done in my life. I want to first off thank Coach Riley, and his wife Mrs. Dee for welcoming me into the family with open arms the day I met them. Secondly, Donte & Dub for the consistent love & true friendship they’ve both showed since our first phone call. And lastly, the great fans of Nebraska themselves, for always rooting me on and showing the best support any person could ask for. I truly appreciate it. I’ve questioned myself more than a thousand times in the last month on whether or not this is something I really want to do. And being apart of the Husker Family is something I really thought I did back in February of 2016 through April of 2017. But, with all do respect to whom it may concern, my family and I believe that it is in my best interest to Open Up My Recruitment Process and Decommit from the University of Nebraska and make sure that I am making the best decision for myself and future family 15 years down the road …. ..

I understand that this will burn bridges, and create so much tension between myself & the people of the state of Nebraska, but what I hope is that you find it in your heart to understand that I have people that depend on me for their well—being. This is something I lost so many nights of sleep over and put myself through a whole lot for, but I’m now ready to explore during this little time I have before I make the biggest decision of my life.
