Bo Pelini Doesn’t Know If Nebraska Is In The FBS Or The FCS

Most college football fans know the difference between the FBS and the FCS. As a refresher, FBS is the “Football Bowl Subdivision,” and is composed of 125 schools that are eligible to play in bowl games at the end of the season. It also used to be known as “Division I-A.” The FCS is the “Football Championship Subdivision,” used to be known as “Division I-AA,” and is the level of college football that decides its champion in a single-elimination tournament composed of 24 teams.
If you didn’t know the difference, that likely means that you’re either not a big college football fan, or Nebraska head football coach Bo Pelini. During his weekly press conference today, Pelini admitted that he doesn’t know if the Cornhuskers are in the FBS or the FCS.
