Baseball: Ohio State Wins Series, Wild Sunday Finale 15-14

Nebraska pitching struggles again

The Nebraska Baseball team (14-14, 2-4 Big Ten) dropped their second consecutive series, losing the rubber match of their series against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Nebraska jumped out to a 3-0 lead, before giving up 11 unanswered runs. Nebraska got the tying run to second with two outs in the ninth, but could not pull off the miracle comeback.

The Huskers came out sharp in the first inning, Mojo Hagge led off the game against Buckeye starter Adam Niemeyer with a single. Scott Schreiber would continue his hot hitting with a RBI double into the gap in right field. Nebraska missed an opportunity to add more after Luke Roskam singled to put a runner at third with one out. Angelo Altavilla would pop up and Jaxon Hallmark flew out.

Matt Warren as he has all season, got the Huskers out of the first pair of innings while not giving up any runs.
