Barstool Sports makes ‘Husker Strong’ shirts for tornado aid


Hours after a tornado tore through parts of Elkhorn and Bennington, former Nebraska football player Will Compton wanted to help direct aid toward victims.

So Compton, now a podcasting star with Barstool Sports, took to X and asked for a relevant relief agency.

One of Compton’s followers suggested Barstool make T-shirt merchandise to sell, with proceeds going toward a Nebraska tornado relief fund.

Compton, host of Bussin’ With the Boys, agreed. Barstool now has “Husker Strong” T-shirts available in red and white on its site. Compton said on X that all sales dollars will eventually go to an as-yet-unspecified tornado relief fund.

Nebraska Athletics released its own apparel line “Nebraska Together.” The Huskers are partnering with Fanatics, Best of Big Red, Lincoln Scheels and local retailers to raise money for tornado relief efforts. Nebraska will donate royalties and all proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross to assist local relief efforts.
